Club registration fees will be paid through your team after the team is formed. You should expect to pay $300 - $500 a year for travel team expenses. This may be offset by fundraisers at the team’s discretion.  You need to be prepared to pay approx $150 when teams are formed.

In groups where two teams can be formed there will be an "A" and a "B" team as long as the teams are deemed competitive.  If there are not enough players to form a competitive team,  age groups may be combined.  Any players who played on a combined team last year and wish to continue playing with that team should attend the Tryout for both age groups.  Players who are not selected for a Travel team will need to fill out a separate registration in order to play in the Intramural Program.

NOTE:  You may try out for the age group above where your birthday places you to play with others in your grade.

Players from outside Manheim Township are only eligible for the “A” team in an age group unless there are not enough Manheim Township players to fill the roster of the “B” team in the age group.
Non-Manheim Township residents who are on a roster in 2006-2007 are considered MTSC players for purposes of putting together the 2007-2008 teams.

COMMITMENT: Players who make the travel team are expected to make the team their top sports commitment. We know some players also play other sports and we expect the players will inform the coach and work out a schedule that works for the team and the players.

IF YOU DON’T MAKE A TRAVEL TEAM: There will be two teams at all levels where the number of qualified players allows two teams. If you are not placed on a travel team and wish to play intramural, you will need to complete the intramural registration form (found at Stauffer Mansion) and pay the intramural registration fee.  The late fee will be waived if travel team rosters are not announced by June 15. Just contact info@mtsoccer.com

TOURNAMENTS: The registration fee for most tournaments is around $400 per team. The cost of the tournament and patches to exchange at the tournament is divided between the players. Most teams go to two to four tournaments each season. All other costs at tournaments, meals, etc., are paid by the players. Each family decides whether to return home at night or pay for a motel.

COSTS: All registration fees and travel costs will be paid through your team. The team will pay a registration fee to the club to cover fields, equipment, coaches training, etc. The team will pay referee fees, league fees, and buy uniforms. You should expect costs of $300 - $500 a year with approx $150 paid in June. The team may do fundraisers to offset the cost.

UNIFORMS: Uniforms will be ordered and purchased by the team. Teams are required to wear the approved MTSC uniform.

COACHING: At the coach’s discretion, there may be full or part-time professional coaching support. This cost is divided between the players.

INDOOR: Participation in the Futsal indoor program is recommended. Many teams play at least one session of indoor soccer during the winter.

CAMP: Travel Team players attend camp and will automatically be enrolled upon accepting a position on a travel team.

When making the decision whether or not to try out for a travel team, please consider carefully whether your player and family can make this commitment. A travel team is not a social club or a soccer honor society. Playing on a travel team is a commitment to learning how to be a better soccer player. It is a commitment to being part of a group and supporting that group by attending all practices, games and tournaments. If you are unwilling or unable to make this commitment, please do not try out for a travel team.
