Player fees will be paid to the club. Cost of playing is approx $500 – 600 per year (not including uniform cost).

This may be offset by fundraisers at the team’s discretion.  Cost can be offset by fundraisers. If interested contact one of the board members to volunteer.

COMMITMENT:
Players who make the travel team are expected to make the team their top sports commitment. We know some players also play other sports and we expect the players will inform the coach and work out a schedule that works for the team and the players.

IF YOU DON’T MAKE A TRAVEL TEAM:
There will be two teams at all levels where the number of qualified players allows for two teams. If you are not placed on a travel team and wish to play intramural, you will need to complete the intramural registration form on line at www.mtsoccer.com and pay the intramural registration fee.

TOURNAMENTS:
The registration fee for tournaments will be paid by the MTSC. Most tournaments exchange patches and the costs of patches are the responsibility of each team. Patches to exchange at the tournament is divided between the players. The club will pay for registration for the Lancaster Summer Classic and up to 3 additional tournaments. All other costs at tournaments, meals, travel, overnight accommodations (if desired), etc., are paid by the players. Most tournaments are within an hour drive.

UNIFORMS:
Uniforms will be ordered and purchased by the team. Teams are required to wear the approved MTSC uniform. We are currently in a new year for uniforms.

COACHING:
At the coach’s discretion, there may be full or part-time professional coaching support. This cost is divided between the players.

INDOOR:
Participation in the some type of indoor program is recommended. Many teams participate in Futsul, Indoor soccer leagues and training programs.

CAMP:
Travel Team players attend camp which is either the first or second week in August.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
MTSC has also partnered with the PA Classic soccer club. This partnership will provide our teams with professional training staff to further develop our players. Currently, we will be holding joint try-outs for the U9 and U10 age groups. When making the decision whether or not to try out for a travel team, please consider carefully whether your player and family can make this commitment. A travel team is not a social club or a soccer honor society. Playing on a travel team is a commitment to learning how to be a better soccer player. It is a commitment to being part of a group and supporting that group by attending all practices, games and tournaments. If you are unwilling or unable to make this commitment, please do not try out for a travel team. MTSC is looking forward to developing our relationship with the PA Classics and the MT Soccer staff in the coming seasons.
